Joann Holland Hall

Joann Holland Hall, 80, of Calhoun, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Gordon Hospital, following several months of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on November 8, 1937, daughter of the late Worth and Nancy Greeson Holland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Hall, in 2010; siblings, Roy Holland of Flint, Michigan, Robert Holland of Calhoun, James Holland of Calhoun, Zeb Holland of Fenton, Michigan, and Katherine Yongue of Louisiana; and a special cousin, Vivian Sheehan.
Joann had retired from Carriage Carpets.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jennifer Thomason of Calhoun; her daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryll and Ed Waggaman of Acworth, Connie and Tommy Silvers of Fairmount, and Terri Banks of Calhoun; a brother, Jimmy Holland of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Dustin Silvers (Kaitlyn), Ryan Silvers (Macey), Kenzie Mitzner, Mindy Anastos (Joseph), Ashley Thomason, and Jill Thomason; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Anastos, Kayden Poole, Braylen Glover, Austin Harrison, Andrea Parker, and Ian. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services to honor the life of Joann Holland Hall will be held Saturday, December 16th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Hare officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant UMC Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Lamar Holland, Wayne Banks, Gary Knowles, Terry Floyd, Danny Holland, and Michael DeBrock.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 15th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
