Obituary

Jerry Lee "Radar" Dutton, 72, of Calhoun, Georgia died Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born on October 27, 1949, in Rome, Georgia to Marguerite Dutton and the late VR "Frosty" Dutton.
Jerry was a charter member of the Hellions and an avid bowler. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received numerous medals, including a Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Tomlinson Dutton; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeremy Dutton and Elizabeth, and Greg Hall; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa Self and Bryan, Caroline May and Phillip, Jennifer Hunter and LaDon, and Angie Thomas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff Dutton and Renee, and Joel Dutton and Misty; grandchildren, Meagan Johns and Kevin, Morgan Frank and Blaize, Marissa Self, Deriek Hunter and Jamie, Lavette Guinn and Chad, Matthew Smith and Logan, Nicole Smith and John, Dylan Thomas and Courtney, Jake Thomas, Daniel Hall, Danielle Hall, Amber Hall, Taylor Hall, Brianna Hall, and Gracie Gay; many great grandchildren also survive.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 10:30 until 1:00 pm at Victory Temple.
The funeral will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm from Victory Temple with Rev. Rusty Haradon and Pastor Jeff Dutton officiating. Burial will follow in Erwin Hill Cemetery. The grandsons and great grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. The grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
