Jerry Cecil English

August 18, 1941 — April 13, 2023


Mr. Jerry Cecil English, 81, of Calhoun, passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 13, 2023 after several years of declining health.


Jerry was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 18, 1941, the son of the late A.C. English and Emma Willingham English. He attended Russell High School in East Point, Georgia. In 1968 he relocated to Calhoun as a sales route man . In 1979 he began operating Pasquale’s Italian Restaurant until 1995. He along with his family enjoyed the restaurant business which was hard work but they made many lasting friendships there over the years. Jerry very greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, He cherished every moment he got to make with everyone. He was a practical joker. He was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church.


He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Betty Jenkins and Donnie Williams.


Survivors include his children; two daughters, Barbara Bass and Lisa Brzozoski; son, Mike English, and his wife Angie; grandchildren, Jason (Kendra) English, Terri English, Matthew Williams, Shannon Junkins, Jacob (Lindsey) Brzozoski and Andrea Brzozoski; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.


A drop in celebration of life for Jerry English will be held on Saturday, April 29th at 12:00 Noon at the residence of his son, Mike English, 788 Rock Fence Road, Adairsville, GA 30103. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

It was Jerry’s wishes to be cremated.


The family would like to express special thanks to Tapestry Hospice and his special caregivers, Crystal McClendon and Shannon for their love and care.
