Mr. Jamey Douglas Mattox, age 39 of Calhoun, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday August 19th, 2015.

Jamey was born in Walker County, GA on July 7, 1976, son of Pastor Doug and Hazel Ruth York Mattox. He was a loving husband to Nicole and adored his two daughters. He was employed by Beaulieu Industries as a Quality Control Technician. A son, Malachi Jameson Mattox, preceded him in death

Jamey is survived by his wife, Nicole Cornwell Mattox to whom he was married for 9 years; two daughters, Elauria Hope Mattox and Amelia Elizabeth (Lily) Mattox; parents, Doug and Hazel Mattox; brother, Kevin Bruce Mattox and his wife Jessica; grandmother, Bernice Mattox of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kelly and Elaine Cornwell. Uncles, cousins, nieces and a great niece along with other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Jamey Douglas Mattox will be conducted Friday, August 21, 2015 at 4:00 PM from the New Town Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Hare, Rev. Steve Stanfield and Rev. Ricky Studdard officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 20th at New Town Baptist Church between the hours of 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Friday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour of 4:00 PM. Pallbearers serving will include Michael Long, Mike Long, Wayne Groover, David Long, Davey Beaty and Rodney Collins.
