Mr. James Richard Hufstetler, 68 of El Paso, TX, formerly of Calhoun, died Sunday, May 10, 2015. He was born in Bartow County, GA on September 28, 1946, son of Louise Raines Hufstetler and the late Warren Hufstetler.
Mr. Hufstetler was employed as a Field Engineer with Raytheon Company, and was a veteran, serving his country in the US Army. He served five tours of duty in Vietnam, receiving commendations and medals, including, the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/DVC 60, Combat Infantryman Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, and 1 Year Safe Driver Badge.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Paula Hufstetler of Calhoun; his daughter, Tia Hufstetler of Saudi Arabia; his mother, Louise Raines Hufstetler of Calhoun; a sister, Bobbie Wilkey of Calhoun; grandchildren, Heath Hufstetler, Jamie Hufstetler, and Savannah Hufstetler; nephews, Kevin Wilkey and Monte Wilkey; and other relatives.
Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. James Richard Hufstetler will be held Friday, May 15th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will be Monday, May 18th at 10:30 AM in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Pallbearers will include Jerry Wayne Jordan, William Jordan, Ronnie Jordan, Jimmy Bearden, Kevin Wilkey, and Monte Wilkey.
The Hufstetler family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
