J Mark Davison

Mr. J Mark Davison, 55 of Calhoun, GA passed away surrounded by family at his home Friday, August 12, 2016 following several years of declining health. His devotion to his family and firm belief in God supported him during his gallant journey. He was born in Gallatin, TN on November 19, 1960. He is the son of Mary Lucille Alley Davison, and the late Jesse Lee Davison. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Philip Davison.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Janice Lochridge Davison; his son, Nicholas Davison of Nashville, TN; his daughter, Mallory Davison of Chattanooga, TN; his mother, Mary Lucille Alley Davison; mother-in-law, Margie Lochridge; sister-in-laws, Marva Davison; Patty Puckett (Billy); Tracy Bohannon (Ronnie); Carol Turner; Kelly Staines; and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his grand-pups, Paisley, Moss, and Bear.

Mark was a graduate and athlete of Marion County High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, with Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine. He was the Vice-President with Mathews & Parlo Carpets of Calhoun for 21 years, and was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church.

The Davison family will welcome friends on Monday, August 15th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM (CST) at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home in Whitwell, TN, and again on Tuesday, August 16th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Calhoun First Baptist Church.

Services to honor the life of Mr. J Mark Davison will be held Wednesday, August 17th at 3:00 PM from Calhoun First Baptist Church, with officiate Dr. John Barber. Music will be arranged by Donnie Nesbitt. Pallbearers serving include Anthony Belk, Ritchie Parlo, Larry Simcox, Russ Ehrenfeld, William Mathews, Bob Parlo, Barry Hall and Russell Defore. Interment will follow at Fain Cemetery of Calhoun, GA.
