Grathel Inez Blankenship

Grathel Inez McBee Blankenship, 92, of Resaca, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at AdventHealth Redmond Hospital in Rome following a period of declining health.

Grathel was born on Gordon, County, Georgia on November 4, 1930, the daughter of the late Lee and Myrtle Sisson McBee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Blankenship in 2005; sisters, Morene McBee Arnold, and Patty McBee Barton; brothers, Gene McBee, and Johnny McBee. Prior to retirement, she was a supervisor in the textile industry.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Blankenship, one brother, Larry “Buck” McBee, two sisters-in-law, Yvonne McBee and Dell Barton McBee; two close friends, Ranal and Kathy Young; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services for Grathel McBee Blankenship will be held Monday, February 13th, 2023 at Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
