Glenn Legg

Glenn Legg, 87, of Calhoun, Georgia died Sunday, March 5, 2023. He was born on December 30, 1935, in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Joe and Vira Mae Smith Legg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary O’Neal Legg; son, Robert “Robbie” Glenn Legg Jr.; daughter, Joanne Legg Walraven; sister, Donna Legg Brazell.


Glenn loved hunting and fishing with his dear friend Eddie Delp. He was a Deacon and active member of Bethesda Baptist Church. His great-grandchildren lit up his world. Prior to retirement he was a pioneer in the carper industry and was plant manager at Carriage Industries. Glenn was a man who loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, cherished his family, his church family and his community and was known as a man of integrity.


He is survived by his grandchildren, Mary Alice Legg and Rachel Walraven, Chris and Charlotte Walraven; great grandchildren, Carla Frazier, Stella Frazier, Lucas Walraven, and Mills Parker; son-in-law, Jeff Walraven.


The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Bethesda Baptist Church. The funeral will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are the Deacons of Bethesda Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearer is Eddie Delp.
