Obituary

Geraldine B. Worley, 90, of Calhoun died on Friday, July 5, 2019 following several months of declining health. Geraldine was born in Adairsville on October 15, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Quincy S. and Viola Carter Bailey. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Trammell S. Worley; her sons, Gerald Hunt and Phil Worley; her sisters, Blanche King, Olivia Bailey, Anna Lou Allen, Elizabeth Mashburn, and Bula Mae Bailey; her brothers, Noble Nelson Bailey, Marvin Bailey, Oscar Bailey, C.F. Bailey, Foy Bailey, Lelton Bailey, and Louis Bailey. Geraldine graduated from Oostanaula High School and worked in the textile industry for many years.
Geraldine is survived by her granddaughter, Rebekah Jennie; her great-granddaughter, Aja Whelan; her sister, Jeanette Barnette; her brother, T.J. "Dude" Bailey; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will follow the visitation on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Chandler Cemetery. Pastor Wendell Stover will officiate. Pallbearers are Dave Pullins, Joey Revels, Rodney Bailey, Charlie Williams, Randall Bailey, and Tony Holbrook.
