Franklin "Cooter" Moore

Mr. Franklin Lamar "Cooter" Moore, age 62 of Calhoun, GA, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Chattanooga, TN on August 8, 1952, son of the late Johnnie Mae Buckels and the late Russell Lee Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donny Leon Moore in 2001; and his brother, Glenn Moore.

Mr. Moore was a mechanic and a jack-of-all trades.

He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Beckey Lyles Moore; his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Wanda Moore of Calhoun; his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Matt Hedrick of Chatsworth; a sister, Elsie Fain of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Tiffany Moore, Daniel Moore, Emma Hedrick, and Joshua Hedrick.

Services to honor the life of Mr. Franklin Lamar "Cooter" Moore will be held Wednesday, June 10th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Donald O'Neal, Matt Hedrick, Tim Heyworth, Timmy Lyles, Jr., Daniel Moore, and Jimmy McRee. Howard Strickland will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The Moore family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 9th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
