Frankie Mae Bingham

Frankie Mae Bingham, age 80 of Calhoun, GA, went to her eternal home on June 3, 2015. She was the faithful wife of Rufus "Nip" Bingham. They shared over 55 blessed years together. She was born in Fannin County, GA, 1934.

Frankie was a determined, hard working lady. She worked as a waitress and mill worker. The profession she most enjoyed was that of a hairdresser; She worked over 30 years in Calhoun. Frankie was a Breast Cancer survivor of 30 years.

She had a servant's heart and would minister to those in need even when she was sick herself. Frankie's great joy was taking care of her family and especially her husband, Rufus. She was a member of Calhoun Church of Christ.

Frankie leaves behind her husband, Rufus Bingham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Laura Bingham of Chapel Hill, TN, and Douglas and Shay Bingham of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Barrett Bingham and his wife Jenna of Nashville, TN, Matthew Bingham of Chapel Hill, TN, Anna Grace Bingham, and Ben Bingham, both of Calhoun; a sister, Aretta Cooper of Ohio; and a brother, H.A. Newman of Calhoun.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Vesti and Otto Newman; four sisters, Ora Lee Hunter, Ellevee Davenport, Regina Foster, and Juanita Cobb; and a brother, Charles Newman.

Funeral services to honor the life of Frankie Mae Bingham will be held Friday, June 5th at 6:30 PM from the Calhoun Church of Christ, with Frank Mills officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Church Cemetery in Fannin County. Pallbearers serving will include Barrett Bingham, Matthew Bingham, Ben Bingham, Kris Bunch, Aric Bunch, and Michael Bunch.

The Bingham family will receive friends at the Calhoun Church of Christ Friday from 5:00 PM until the funeral hour, and after the funeral.
