Evelyn Inez Stansell

November 3, 1920 — May 16, 2007

Evelyn Inez Stansell age 86 of Resaca, passed away Wednesday May 16, 2007 at her residence following several weeks of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on November 3, 1920 daughter of the late Jesse and Willie Belle Dutton Fuller. She was a life long resident of Gordon County and was a member of Moss Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stansell was preceded in death by her husband John Roy Stansell. Two daughters; Betty Ann Patterson and Elizabeth Hill; three sisters; Jesse Lancaster, Fran Guggemous and Clyde Wyatt, and four brothers; Lawrence, Fred, Hardy and Leon Fuller.

Survivors include six daughters; Nancy Dodd of Resaca, Judy Hill of Calhoun, Vera Amos of Chatsworth, Frances Timms of Resaca, Martha Hughes of Adairsville and Diane Young of Calhoun; three sons; James Stansell, Johnny Stansell and Doyle Stansell all of Calhoun; one sister; Margaret Bowman and one brother Billy Fuller both of Calhoun. Twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and nine step grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Evelyn Inez Stansell will be conducted Saturday May 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Clark, Rev. Eddie Brannon, and Rev. Andrew Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers serving will include Jack Clark, Emory Jolley, Larry Clark, Dale Bowen, Jason Boggs and Danny Amonett. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will include Travis Stansell, Eric Young, Douglas Patterson, Tony Hughes, Allan Hill, David Hill, Tommy Hill, Matt Johnson, Keith Stansell and Brian Stansell. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Saturday at 1:45 p.m. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Thursday after 6:00 p.m.
