Donald Wilfred White

Donald Wilfred White, 95, of the Everett Springs Community, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023. He was born on April 27, 1927, to the late Dennis W. and Clara Black White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Marie Thomas; second wife, Peggy Elaine Brown; siblings, Evyn D. White, Eleanor White Wilson, and Avis White Mills; step-children, Robin Brown and James Brown Jr.

Donald retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation as an administrator and was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. He attended the Brotherhood Breakfast at Everett Springs Baptist Church.

Donald is survived by his step-sons, Larry Thomas, Jerry Thomas (Lynette), Terry L. Thomas (Cindy); step-daughters, Wanda Brown Lane (Kevin) and Amanda Brown Rosser (Jonathan); grandchildren, Wayne Thomas (Leann), Jeremy Thomas (Julie), Brian Thomas (Krista), Sara Thomas, Alicia Thomas, Tina Thomas Kushmon (Bob), Patricia Thomas Edwards (Billy), Terry L. Thomas Jr., Joseph P. Thomas, Leslie Moore, Melissa Brown, James Barnette (Candice), Jayna Barnette (Jason Phillips), Garrett Poole (Harley), Kaylie Poole; and forty great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his cousin, Flora Nell Adkins Jones; nieces, Judy Mills Corcoran and Cheryl Mills Amos; nephews, Steven White, Wesley White, and Gregory Wilson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 1:00 PM from Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale McConkey, Rev. James Gravitt, and Rev. Wayne Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Terry Thomas Jr., Joseph Thomas, Brandon Edwards, Aden Edwards, James Barnette, and Garrett Poole. Honorary pallbearers are Skylar Moore and Landon Dyer.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church at 2341 Everett Springs Rd, Armuchee, GA 30105.
