Dimple Louise Bowen

Dimple Louise Taylor Bowen, 81, of Calhoun, Georgia died Friday, May 19, 2023, after months of declining health. She was born on April 5, 1942, in Gordon County to the late Grady and Effie Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2010, Homer Howard Bowen.

Dimple was a faithful member of Sugar Valley Old Methodist Church. Prior to retirement, Dimple was employed by Gordon County Training Center, Mohawk, and Aladdin Mills.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Danny (Christine) Bowen and Randy (Kathy) Bowen; brother, Douglas Taylor; grandsons, Terrance Bowen and Johnny Baker; granddaughters, Beth Maddox, Leatte Hardy, and Ariel Silvers; great grandchildren, Brittany McHand, Danielle Hardy, Ryleigh Hardy, Kynslee Silvers, Shyann Maddox, Shala Maddox, Logan Hardy, and Jonathon Marshall; great great granddaughter, Oaklynn Maddox.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be conducted on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 1:00 pm from Old Sugar Valley Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery beside her husband. Pallbearers are Scott Miller, Johnny Baker, Hugh Don Wilson, Kenneth Logan, Terrance Bowen, and David Barnette.
