David Williamson

Mr. David Boyd "Smurf" Williamson, 48, of Shannon died on August 12, 2015 near Kalamazoo, Michigan. David was born in Floyd County on January 12, 1967. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Boyd Williamson.

He attended Model High School, had worked for The Rome Braves, and, at the time of his death, he traveled throughout The United States with Wade Shows.

Survivors are his mother, Dorothy Leach Williamson, of Shannon; his brothers and sister-in-law, Joseph and Sandra Williamson, and Ricky Williamson, all of Shannon; nieces and nephews, Jessie Leonard, Tabitha Williamson, Joseph Williamson Jr., Stephanie Burnett, Brianna Williamson, Tiffany Williamson, and Amanda Williamson; eight great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, August 23rd at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
