Craig Warren Mccarty

Mr. Craig Warren McCarty, age 54 of Nesbitt Road, Calhoun, died Thursday at Gordon Hospital following seven months illness.

Mr. McCarty was born in Amherst, Ohio on May 10th, 1954, son of Merilyn McCarty and the late Charles McCarty. He was employed by the City of Calhoun in the Sewer Construction Department.

Mr. McCarty is survived by his wife, Susan Holbrook McCarty, to whom he was married for 32 years; One daughter, Christy Ridley and her husband David of Chatsworth; two sons, Casey McCarty and his wife Tara of Calhoun, and Caleb McCarty and his wife Jen of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Lana Ridley of Chatsworth, Blair McCarty, and Cajun McCarty, both of Calhoun; mother, Mrs. Merilyn McCarty of Newport News, VA; one sister, Terri Malonson of Glouchester, VA; and by three brothers, Clay McCarty of Ringgold, GA, and Brian McCarty and Jason McCarty, both of Newport News, VA. Other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Craig McCarty will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 AM from Oostanuala Baptist Church, with Rev. Rick Langston and Rev. Jared Raines officiating. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving will include Brian McCarty, Jason McCarty, Clay McCarty, Casey McCarty, Caleb McCarty and David Ridley. Honorary pallbearers will consist of his co-workers in the Sewer Construction Department as well as other employees of the City of Calhoun.

The family will receive friends at Oostanaula Baptist Church Friday evening between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
