Chris Randall

December 27, 1970 — February 18, 2023

Chris Randall, 52, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 27, 1970, to the late Jerry and Sharon Randall.


Chris loved his family beyond measure. He loved watching his boys practice and play any sport when they were growing up. He didn’t miss the chance to watch them both play on the collegiate level. He was a Red Bud High School legend and huge supporter and fan of Calhoun High School football. Chris loved Elvis, the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons in good times and bad times. Chris adored his wife, Angel, of 26 years. Chris never met a stranger. He loved and had many friends. Once you met him, you would never forget him.


He is survived by his loving wife, Angel Maxwell Randall; his sons, Ryan Randall and Reed Randall; sister, Mandi Mathews; brother-in-law, Ray Mathews; brother and sister-in-law, Noah and Angela Adams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Terry and Kay Rutledge; brother-in-law, Chase Rutledge; father-in-law, Terry Maxwell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Christa and Jon Zuker; nieces, Lainee Hall, Kaydence Mathews, Emilee Zuker, and Jona Lynn Zuker; nephews, Will Hall, Rhett Mathews, Hayden Mathews, Parker Zuker, Wilder Beau Zuker, and Blain Adams


The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 7:00 PM from Sugar Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Phillips officiating. A private burial will follow in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joey Walraven, Scott Hall, Jason Bearden, Chad Roberts, Timmy Walraven, David Holland, Brian King, and Russell Defoor. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Mullinax, Vince Steele, William Holland, Jay Wiggins, Ronnie Lester, Bob Parlo, Johnny Walraven, Kenny Walraven, Chris Knight, Adrian Steele, and Jarrod Thornton.


The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Sugar Valley Baptist Church.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the City of Calhoun Recreation Department, Gordon County Parks and Recreation, or The Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Georgia.
