Obituary

Charles Arvil Young, 63, of Calhoun, died Sunday, June 2, 2019 at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Floyd County on October 17, 1955, son of the late Preston Arvil and Louise Young. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Hindman and Pat Williams.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Lucricia Young; his son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Tracey Pennington Young; his daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Eric Childers; his grandchildren, Sarah Young, Tanner Young, and Allison Young; and his sisters, Teressa Parker and Betty Smith. Nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to help with final expenses.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
