Cal Kaschub

Obituary

Cal was born on May 1, 1945 in Gastonia, NC and passed away on June 27, 2019 at home after an eight month illness with cancer. Cal had been a 31 year resident of Calhoun at the time of his passing. After receiving his bachelors of science from North Carolina State University in 1968 he worked for many years in the carpet and textile industries. Upon moving to Calhoun in 1989 he worked for Horizon Industries then Mohawk before setting up his own company writing software for small businesses. He retired in 2011. He is survived by his wife Debbie, a Calhoun resident, a daughter and son-in-law Erin and Alex Fuentes, and his sister Carree Atkins. There will be a celebration of his life for family and friends at Velo Vineyards on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
