Brandi Orletta Taylor, age 21 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Floyd Medical Center following a brief illness.

Brandi was born on May 17, 1987 in Floyd County, daughter of Donald Lamar Taylor and Linda Sue Dinning Taylor. She attended Calhoun high School where she was a band member, and was a member of World Harvest Church of Calhoun. Brandi was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Taylor, and Harold and Dorothy Dinning.

Survivors are her parents, Don and Linda Taylor; a sister, KaLeigh Taylor; a brother, Marshall Camp, both of Calhoun; grandmother, Louise Taylor of Calhoun; and her fiancee, Craig Dodd of Calhoun. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and her extended family, Starr Money and Sammy Riordan also survive.

Funeral services for Brandi Orletta Taylor will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00am from the Trinity Baptist Church, with Bud Owens, Paul Lowe, and Pastor Rusty Haradon officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Singing will be arranged by Mr. Fred Talley. Active pallbearers serving will include, Bud Owens, Paul Lowe, Buddy Autry, Donnie Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Brandon Hardman and Tony Miller. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Tuesday morning at 10:00am. Honorary escort will be composed of the employees of Floyd Medical Center EMS and the Gordon County EMS. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday during the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00pm.
