Obituary

Bonnie Lou Duvall Bailey, 82, of Resaca died Wednesday, October 2, 2019. She was born in Sugar Valley, GA on December 28, 1936, daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Strickland Duvall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Bailey in 2012; her brother and sister-in-law, Lamar and Martha Duvall; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Sue and Roy Akins and Arlene and Jim Parrish.
Bonnie lived the greater part of her life in the Resaca community. She was employed with GTE as an operator and retired from the Whitfield Board of Education as a school bus driver.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Randall Bailey and Jenny; a daughter, Delana Bailey Sloan; grandchildren, Holly Michelle Cochran and Stephanie Michelle Bailey; great grandchildren, Tyler Reese Cochran and Zane Hunter Cochran; a brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Peggy Duvall; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Bo Evans and Rev. Jimmy Edge will officiate. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
