Bobby McEntire, 71, of Calhoun died at his home on Sunday, September 23, 2018, following several years of declining health. Bobby was born in Bartow County on November 16, 1946. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mammie Jo Bowman; his brothers, Tommy Wilkey and Billy Wilkey. Bobby worked for many years at Trend Mills and at Fafnir Industries.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann McEntire; his sons and daughters-in-law, Donny and Rhonda Voyles, and Mark and Linda McEntire; hiis daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and David Thornton, Vanessa and Jeff Nesbitt, and Stacy and John Adams; his brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Diane Wilkey; his grandchildren, Ashli (Eddie) Hall, Amanda (Chris) Tolbert, Candi (Justin) Lamb, Ashley (Justin) Orange, D.J. Voyles, Tommy Russell, Casey (Mitchell) Turner, Connor Adams, Christine (Danny) Chapman, Amy (Josh) Sullins, Ashley Thornton, and Tiffany Nesbitt; great-grandchildren, Ross, Peyton, Landen, Bailey, Bryson, Mark, Colson, Nick, Graceyn, Addisyn, Mason, Rebeckah, Caleb, Avery, Alana, Wylder, and Wolfe; his brother-in-law, Bradford McEntyre; his sisters-in-law, Elise Cox and Debbie Wilkey; his step-father, Ralph Bowman; his special cousin, Brenda Lewis; his best friend, Thomas Pierce; other relatives and friends.
The McEntire family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Scott Cemetery. Chaplain David Thornton will officiate.
