Bobbie Sue "Payne" Johnson`

Bobbie Sue Payne Johnson, 88, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Morning Point Assisted Living after several years of declining health. She was born April 13, 1935 to the late Robert Payne and Evelyn Hendrix Payne. In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Milton Payne.

Serving as secretary for over 30 years, Bobby retired from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. After retirement, she pursued her love of travel. She was a member of Calhoun First United Methodist Church.

Bobbie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tyron and Tammy Johnson, sister-in-law, Sue Payne; granddaughters, Brooke Johnson, Brandi Johnson Brumlow (Jake); grandson, Swayze Johnson (Meredith); Great grandsons, Mitt and Hamp Brumlow; great granddaughters, Elle Brumlow and Etta Johnson; nephews Mitch and Mike Payne.

Funeral services for Bobbie Sue Payne Johnson will be held on Monday. May 1st at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Eddie Brannon officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday April 30th between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Bobbie’s honor to Calhoun First United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

The family wishes to thank Morning Pointe Assisted Living and Tapestry Hospice for the love and care they have given Bobbie over the last several years.
