Obituary

Mrs. Betty Clark Lewis, 87, of the Red Bud Community, died Friday, April 3, 2020, at Townsend Park Nursing Home in Cartersville following several months of declining health.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Calhoun, GA on September 1, 1932, daughter of the late John V. and Lucy Keene Clark. She graduated from Red Bud High School and received her undergraduate degree at Berry College and her Master Degree in Education from West Georgia College. She was an elementary school teacher for 34 years and a greater part of those years with the Calhoun City School System.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Franklin Lewis to whom she was married for 40 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Lewis Roberts and Richey Langston, two sons; Frank Lewis and his wife Cathy and Mark Lewis and his wife Donna. Grandchildren; Nathan Roberts (Camron), Heather Lessis (Matt), Amanda Carnes (Trey), Brandon Lewis (Niki), Great-Grandchildren; Spencer Ford, Emily Roberts, Lincoln and Levi Lessis, Leo Carnes, Kendall, and Nash Lewis.
Due to recent concerns over the Covid-19 pandemic, the family will have a graveside service at a later date.
