Obituary

Betty Crowe Mathis, 76, of Fairmount, Georgia died Monday April 20, 2020 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. She was born on February 28, 1944 in Calhoun, Georgia to the late Almon G. and Ruth Watts Crowe.
She was a talented pianist and loved to read. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Fairmount First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband R.L. Mathis of 56 years; children, Cindy and Alan Price and Lee Mathis; grandchildren, Nick Price and his fianc Molli Hobgood, Madison Price, Levi Mathis, and Braden Mathis; great grandchild, Lane Cooper Price; great aunt, Edna Watts; friends and other relatives also survive.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no formal public visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Fairmount First United Methodist Church.We are live streaming the service at 2:00 PM from the Facebook page of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers include, Calvin Watts, Billy Wehunt, Tony Wehunt, Nick Price, Levi Mathis, and Braden Mathis.
