Obituary

Bertha Ellen "Faye" Petitt, 75, of Calhoun, Georgia died Tuesday, March 3, 2020, after an 18-month illness with cancer. She was born on September 4, 1944, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Durwood Dunwoody and Nancy Brumblett. She was proceeded in death by her sisters, Louise Terry and Margaret Cannon.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Evangelistic Outreach Ministry.
She is survived by her husband James Bryan Petitt whom she was married to for 57 years; daughter, Brenda Hammonds of Calhoun; sister, Peggy Davis of Rossville; grandchildren, Christina Hollingsworth of Dalton and Daniel Serritt of Calhoun; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
A service to honor and remember the life of Bertha Ellen 'Faye' Petitt will be held Monday, March 9, 2020, at 11:00 AM from the graveside at Haven of Rest Memorial Park with Rev. Mark Kirby officiating and music will be arranged by Randall Oliver and Lisa Kirby Wooten.
