Obituary

Annie Sue Thompson, 81, of Calhoun, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at AdventHealth Gordon. She was born in Meigs County, TN, on August 7, 1938, daughter of the late Fred and Gladys Palmer Mullins Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thompson in 2008; her brothers, Sam Mullins, Arthur Mullins, Lonnie Mullins, and Donnie Mullins; her sister, Della Mae Clark; and a grandchild, Russell Davis.
Sue retired from Sharon Rugs. She was a member of Welcome Gap Baptist Church in Sugar Valley.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Tina Thompson of Calhoun; her daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn Gregory of Oakman, and Janice and Rev. Joey Davis of Calhoun; her grandchildren, Bobby Selcado, Treena Cowart, Dee Gardner, Misty Wiley, Nathaniel Young, Anthony Gregory, Jeremy Gregory, Cara Barnes, and Jennifer Cooper; her great-grandchildren, Ricky Selcado, Justin Selcado, Malachi Cowart, Isaiah Cowart, Hunter Barnes, Hayden Barnes, Chelsia Barnes, Josie Gregory, Heath and Sammy McGhee, Kyndall Gregory, and Elliott and Emmett Cooper; her great great grandchildren, Elaine Blanchard, Lane Petajean, and Aspen McGee; and her brother, Fred Mullins Jr. of Spring City, TN.
Services to honor her life will be held Saturday, November 23rd at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Joey Davis and Rev. David Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery, 120 County Road 287, Niota, TN. Pallbearers serving will include Anthony Gregory, Jeremy Gregory, Chris Barnes, Steve Gregory, Rex Cowart, and Nathaniel Young.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 22nd from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
