Annie Lou Gunn

Mrs. Annie Lou Gunn, age 85 of Adairsville, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at her home. She was born in Gordon County on October 24, 1929, daughter of the late William Earl and Dona Caroline Brogdon Greeson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Gunn; and siblings, Joe Lewis Greeson, Paul Greeson, Boyce Greeson, and Lizzie Mae Owen.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Annie always knew God would take care of everything. She had worked in the textile industry, and was a farmer. She was loving, caring, honest, and hard-working, and enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

She leaves behind her sons, Travis Gunn and Tony Gunn; her daughters, Tina Gunn and Tammy Torres and her husband Ray, all of Adairsville; a sister, Rosa Ella Greeson of Rome; grandchildren, Shea and Bobby Frazier, Shaun and Jessica Gunn, Tanna and A.J. Bishop, and Cody, Nicole, and Dona Gunn; great-grandchildren, Tayla, Breanna, and Logan Gunn, and Tamari Frazier; and special friends, Dennis and Evelyn Garland.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annie Lou Gunn will be held Tuesday, March 3rd at 3:00 PM from the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Adairsville, with Rev. Kenny Rogers, Rev. Brent Tatum, and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Mrs. Gunn's body will lie in state at the church from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Corey Evans, Jerry Bagley, Cody Gunn, Michael Garland, Bobby Frazier, and Ladell Mealer. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Garland, Alfred Harris, Wayne Self, William T. Hollaran, Jimmy West, Hoyt Nelson, Harold Buffington, Earl Dutton, Gary Phillips, Jerry Maddox, A.J. Bishop, and Shaun Gunn.

The Gunn family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday after 6:00 PM.
