Helen Marie Dinsmore, 70, of Calhoun, Georgia departed this life Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Gordon Hospital. Helen was born September 6, 1947 in Jasper, Georgia to the late Earl Dinsmore and Ednie Fountain Dinsmore of Calhoun, Georgia. She was also preceded ion death by a special friend in 2005, Paul Overstreet.
She was a graduate of Pickens County High in Jasper, GA. She worked many years for Mannington Carpets in Calhoun. She also worked at HD Lee in Jasper. She last worked at Rug Mart in Calhoun. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Calhoun.
Helen is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret and Wayne Brendel of the Jerusalem Community and Janice Wilson of Calhoun; a brother and sister-in-law, Earl Densmore Jr. and Brenda Densmore of Calhoun; aunts and uncle, Bonnie Burton and Ella Fountain of the Jerusalem Community, Nancy Young of Ludville, GA, Carolyn Malloy of Ryo, GA, Betty Fountain of Ruskin, FL, and Minnie Hancock and JR Hancock of Ludville, GA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, March 1st at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Brannon, Rev. Wayne Brendel Jr., and Rev. Eddie Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow at the Ludville Church of Jesus Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Michael Dougherty, Matthew Brendel, Wayne Brendel, Tommy Hancock, Shane Wilson, Hagen Wilson, Hunter Wilson, and Brian Brendel.
The Dinsmore family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 28th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
