Peggy Cargal

Mrs. Peggy Cargal, age 77 of Calhoun, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 10, 2014 after several years of declining health.

She was born in Murray County, GA on January 18, 1937, daughter of the late Hoke Stroud and Ethel Stroud Johnson. She was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Pass and her husband Jerry of Calhoun; a granddaughter, Julie Pass Bennett and her husband Greg of Calhoun; two great-grandchildren, Lex and Bree Bennett of Calhoun; and her very special canine companion, "Holli Dog". Cousins and other relatives along with two special caregivers, Tammy Wilson and Lisa Williams.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Peggy Cargal will be held Saturday, April 12th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Clifford Free and Chaplain Luke Morgan officiating. Honorary pallbearers serving will include the North Star Hospice Team. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Vernon Brown, in Sumac Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 9203 Highway 225 North, Chatsworth, Ga. 30705.

The family will receive friends Friday at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
