Coelien Jones

Ms. Coelien Jones, age 89, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Calhoun Health Care. She was born in Hamilton County, TN on July 3, 1925, daughter of the late Roper E. and Ethel Blalock Jones.

After retirement from the Gilman/Jones-Blair Company in Chattanooga, she moved to Gordon County, GA, making her home with Jerry L. and Sue R. Blalock in the Red Bud Community. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church (Red Bud), where she enjoyed attending Sunday services.

Survivors include cousins, Jerry L. Blalock of Fairmount, Jackie A. Tyner of Calhoun, and Jerry H. Price of Jasper.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Coelien Jones will be held Friday, October 24th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 23rd from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ms. Joness name to Bethesda Baptist Church, 146 Bethesda Church Road, Calhoun, GA 30701.
