Michael Aaron Blake, 19, of Sugar Valley, died on January 1, 2018 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was a graduate of Gordon Central High School. Along with his daughter, Sophia, Michael is survived by his wife, Haley Blake; his mother and step-father, Melissa and John Davis; his father, Mike Blake; his grandparents, Irene Blake, Joann Meadows, and Mary Emma Davis; his sisters and brother-in-law,  Brooke Blake and Brooke and Pete Caudle; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Josh and Sarah Davis, and Andrew and Allison Davis; his wife’s family – her parents, Rev. Bo and Anitra Carnes, and Dale and Kim Bruce; her brothers and sisters, Hunter Bruce, Zack Carnes, Scott and Emily Carnes, Gavyn, McKinley, and Ryley; his niece, Bella-Kate Caudle; his nephew, Brently Walden; other relatives and friends.

The Blake family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Rev. Bo Carnes will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Bryce Pelfrey, Chris Lane, Cross Langley, Kevin Holsomback, Andrew Mincey, Josh Davis, Andrew Davis, and the VFW Legion Riders.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests that donations to help with the cost of the funeral service be made at www.maxbrannonandsons.com. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.

Please consider making a donation to raise much needed funds to cover the funeral expenses.

No donation is too small and your support would be greatly appreciated.
